Electric Cars Will Replace Gasmobiles Because They Are “Clearly Superior” Vehicles
I’ve said it before, several times, but I’m not the only one: electric cars are a disruptive technology and will wipe out gasmobiles in short time for many reasons — they are simply much superior vehicles. Elon Musk knows it. Carlos Ghosn knows it. Bob Lutz knows it. And I’m sure many other auto experts know it. It’s only a matter of time.
A former aerospace production tooling senior engineer with quite a bit of car experience recently chimed in on a LinkedIn post of mine in order to offer his 2 cents. I liked the comment enough that I thought I’d share it here:
I’m a wrench head for over 50 years. I have personally owned well over a hundred cars and more than half of them I literally put together from multiple parts from junk yards. I have just sold a Toyota FJ-40 Landcruiser with a 327 Corvette engine for more money than I had in it over a twenty years ownership…and lots of FUN off-road adventures. I am also a retired aerospace production tooling senior engineer of 27 years service before “retiring”. So I think I have some expertise in ICE engines & cars, & motorcycles. I have ridden in and driven a number of electric cars…in my “Expert” opinion, they are clearly superior vehicles. My next car will definitely be electric and I am planning on never buying another gas car ever again for the rest of my life
