Yingli Green Energy Launches 2014 FIFA World Cup ‘All Under One Sun’ Campaign
One of the world’s leading photovoltaic module manufacturers, Yingli Green Energy, has announced their official 2014 FIFA World Cup campaign, “All Under One Sun”, which will run alongside next year’s football (soccer) world cup, set to be held in Brazil.
The campaign was launched in Hangzhou, Zhejiang on Tuesday, and the company hopes that the campaign will help them “promote solar and the concept of sustainability.”
“We chose this theme, ‘All Under One Sun’, because we believe that sun has no boundaries and is an endless energy that touches all of us,” said Mrs Judy Tzeng Lee, Vice President of Global Marketing of Yingli Green Energy. “As the world’s largest PV module manufacturer, we have the responsibility to convert this endless energy into affordable green energy for everyone.”

Yingli Solar are an official sponsor of the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, and have provided over 1,500 solar panels for the Maracanã Stadium which is set to host seven big games during the world cup.

The All Under One Sun campaign was kicked off earlier this year with a Photo Contest, but Yingli promise many more competitions and activities to come.
“We plan to have both online and offline programs, such as photo contests and solar charging stations in the stadiums, to bring solar closer to the fans and to the world stage,” said Tzeng Lee. Not only that, but the company plan to host online and offline campaigns across the globe, “including introducing the basics of solar in our online ticket raffles, conducting photo contests, selecting volunteers who are interested in learning more about solar while working during the competition, and building solar charging stations in the World Cup stadiums.”
