Videos: Riding Through 100 MW Solar Farm In Ukraine On A 4-Wheeler (CT Exclusive)

I’m on the last stretch home from an amazing, whirlwind tour of some of the great cleantech projects, programs, and companies currently running strong in Ukraine. I have dozens of excellent interviews, photos, videos, and commentary to share with you here on CleanTechnica in the coming days. I think you’re going to love it! Of course, some of the coming articles will have more “substance,” while others will have more “flash.” For the most part, this one is a flash piece, but it features perhaps my favorite solar videos ever, so I thought I’d start with it as a teaser for what’s to come.

In the videos below, I’m riding through the 6th-largest solar PV farm in the world, Perovo Solar Park, which was actually the largest solar PV power plant in the world when it was completed in 2011 by Activ Solar. (Full disclosure: Activ Solar, along with greencubator, supported my trip to and around Ukraine.) I’ll have more information about the solar farm coming soon. For now, these two videos capture just a small segment of just one section of the solar farm. (There are 6 sections to the solar farm.) Notably, the videos also capture my first ride on a 4-wheeler:

Aside from the content I’ll be publishing here on CleanTechnica, I also plan to publish some exclusive content on Ecopreneurist, Planetsave, Solar Love, EV Obsession, and ZacharyShahan.com. Keep your eyes peeled!

In theory, your most exclusive and best content goes behind a paywall. But then fewer people read it! We just don't like paywalls, and so we've decided to ditch ours. Unfortunately, the media business is still a tough, cut-throat business with tiny margins. It's a never-ending Olympic challenge to stay above water or even perhaps — gasp — grow. So ...
