The More the Sunshine, the Colder the Ice Cream? Yes!
Sunshine and ice cream no longer have to be nemeses. Dutch design team Springtime developed a solar power ice cream cart that keeps the treats cold without burning through fossil fuels.
Springtime got together with IJs&Zopie and Odenwald Organics to get solar panels on the roof of the cart to produce the power for the refrigerator battery. The eco-friendliness doesn’t end there — the cart can be hooked to a bicycle.
If all neighborhood ice cream vendors were pedaling while peddling, we could feel a little less guilty about indulging in our favorite summertime treats.
