Nice story form the folks over at Clean Energy Resource Teams (seems like a good way to promote solar and eco-friendly businesses):
On June 2, Minneapolis’ Kingfield Neighborhood Association (KFNA) held it’s Let the Sun Shine Solar Tour, featuring Kingfield businesses that have recently installed or are in the process of installing solar photovoltaic (PV) arrays.
The event took place at three different locations: Quality Coaches, Twin Town Guitars, and Pat’s Tap. All three locations had ground-level solar models so that people could get up close and personal, and Minnesota-based solar manufacturer TenKsolar representatives on hand to answer tour participants’ questions.
Folks were encouraged to travel to all three sites at their own leisurely pace while enjoying food, live music, and even a solar oven cooking demonstration! Metro CERT team members were also present at the tour—talking to folks about all the benefits of solar energy and ways to get started.
Quality Coaches, a well-established domestic and foreign car specialist, had a particularly impressive solar rooftop array. Tour participants rode a scissor lift to the roof to check out the business’ new installation. Quality Coaches owner and founder Mark Brandow was happy to show off his solar panels: “My solar array has cut my monthly energy bill in half. It is peak sun season right now, and I can’t wait to see the savings,” Brandow shared.

In theory, your most exclusive and best content goes behind a paywall. But then fewer people read it! We just don't like paywalls, and so we've decided to ditch ours. Unfortunately, the media business is still a tough, cut-throat business with tiny margins. It's a never-ending Olympic challenge to stay above water or even perhaps — gasp — grow. So ...
