Ok, so this probably isn’t necessary here in weather-neutral San Francisco, but those of you living in areas prone to intense hot and cold spells might want to take a look at the Room to Room Fan, a compact $30 door fan that circulates air into adjoining rooms.

Chip in a few dollars a month to help support independent cleantech coverage that helps to accelerate the cleantech revolution!

The fan is an ultra-cheap way to move air from your heater or air-conditioner around the house— and that means there’s less of a need to crank up the temperature controls. The door frame fan, which is available on the Improvements Catalog website, moves 120 cu. ft. of air per minute and circulates air in an average room (10’x12′) three times per hour.
