London Mayor Sadiq Khan, speaking at the opening to London Tech Week, outlined his vision for London to become the world’s leading ‘Smart City’ and launched a £1.6m Clean Tech Incubator called Better Futures aimed at helping 100 London-based businesses deliver low-carbon and clean-tech products.
Smart cities are likely to be an integral part of the future energy revolution, tying together new technologies for energy generation and storage, vehicles, and smart lighting, to increase energy efficiency and reduce city emissions. Totem Power, a New York-based startup unveiled this week what they are calling the world’s first energy solution to reimagine and redesign smart utilities.
