Masdar 2015 Engage Blogging Contest

CleanTechnica is a proud media partner of Masdar for its 2015 Engage Blogging Contest.

Every year, approximately 35,000 sustainability professionals, government leaders, and NGO executives gather in the capital of the UAE for Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.

You could join these thought leaders by writing 500 words on the vision you have for your city in 2030.

The world’s urban centers are now firmly on the frontline of sustainability and innovation. Cities are confronted with maintaining a trajectory of economic growth, while reducing resource demand and addressing climate risk. With the rise of urbanization, the world’s cities must also offer complete communities — a place to live, work, and play — while being bastions of sustainability. Creating growth while minimizing their impact is a tremendous opportunity for cities — this offers numerous opportunities to spur new ideas, develop more innovative technologies, strengthen industry, and enhance our lifestyle.

Based on what you see occurring in urban planning, along with developments in water, waste, energy, food production, and transportation, what will your city look like in 2030? That’s the question this blogging contest is focused on.

To Enter:

1. Write a post and publish it at your blog with a link to the 2015 Masdar Engage Blogging Contest page (if you don’t have a blog, you can send submissions to press@masdar.ae). IMPORTANT: Please leave a comment on the page linked above with a link to your post AND on your blog, do not forget to mention the Masdar Engage Blogging Contest, plus link back to www.masdar.ae/adsw/engage to help us find your post. The deadline is the end of the day, January 2, 2015, at midnight EST.
2. Qualifying content will be posted on the Masdar web site. Limit one (1) entry per person.
3. Winning Selection: A judging panel will review qualifying entries and will weigh:
   a) the overall quality of the post;
   b) the number of votes for the post on the Masdar website;
   c) and the number of Tweets, Facebook “Likes” and “Shares” through social channels (on both Masdar and the writer’s websites). Voting will continue until January 5, 2015.
