2015 Chevy Volt Clearance Sale, In Anticipation Of 2016 Model — Leases As Low As $249 A Month
With the much anticipated launch of the 2016 Chevrolet Volt getting closer by the day, Chevy has begun the process of trying to clear out its inventory of the 2015 model — as a result, those interested in the model have access to some pretty good deals right now.
Chevy has greatly increased the total rebates available (effective as of April 14) — up to $2500. That’s up from $1000. It has also dropped the monthly rate for a 39-month leases down to $249 a month (from $299). In addition to all of that, the company has also reduced the amount due at signing to just $500 (from $1449).
And if you’re switching to the 2015 Volt from a competing model, you don’t even have to pay that — no money down, in other words.
Altogether, that makes for a pretty good deal for those that aren’t set on getting the upcoming 2016 Volt, rather than the 2015 model. Given the improvements that’ll be accompanying the 2016 model, I can see why someone would choose to wait and pay a bit more, but the new deals do make the 2015 model far more tempting.
It should probably be noted here, though, that the yearly mileage cap for those leasing for the low price of $249/month is staying where it was before, at 10,000 miles.
Accompanying these deals, the company is also now offering 2.9% financing (for 48 months) on 2015 Volts, and 0% on the remaining 2014 models.
Given the large drop in Volt sales this year (accompanying the announcement of the 2016 Volt), Chevy is no doubt hoping that these deals are enough to get through most of its remaining inventory (which is thought to be fairly large).
2015 Volt production is currently expected to be stopped sometime next month, with retooling for the 2016 model coming after that.
