Most small renewable energy chargers rely on solar power or more recently, kinetic energy. The Mini Kin takes a different approach—wind power.

The device just requires a small breeze to start generating energy. Unfortunately, there aren’t any more details available on the device right now, but it will be available soon on I Want One of Those for $55.
It’s the perfect alternative for when you’re feeling lazy and don’t want to run around with your kinetic energy charger or when the sun has been hiding from sight. Here in windy San Francisco, at least, it seems like the most reasonable option for a portable alternative energy device.
