How To Handle Trolls — Cleantech Communication Handbook Coming

Working in the cleantech communication business since the middle of 2009, I can say that I’ve picked up quite a few cleantech communication tips, and I try to sharpen them every day. Unfortunately, I’ve also seen a lot of examples of bad, bad, bad cleantech communication — communication flubs are quite abundant in this field. (And, yeah, I’ve been the person behind those bad examples from time to time.)

Many cleantech enthusiasts actually use talking points and discussion strategies that are counterproductive. Yikes!

Several presenters at our coming Cleantech Revolution Tour conference in Wroclaw and Berlin will offer their own cleantech communication expertise throughout the conference, but we are also doing something special to go a step further.

We will collect some cleantech communication tips, ideas, and feedback after many of the sessions on June 28 and June 29. These thoughts will be fed into a workshop at the end of the last day of the conference in which we will create the core of a “Cleantech Communication Handbook” … which will indeed involve guidelines for “responding to trolls,” but it will also be broader.

So, if you are in the region, can make it to the Cleantech Revolution Tour conference, and haven’t registered yet, what are you waiting for?! Join us for fun, food, and a wealth of cleantech information and inspiration.
