Plugless Tesla Model S System Installation & Use (Pictures & Video)
Those of you who have heard of the new Plugless (Evatran) wireless charging system for the Tesla Model S and have considered eventually purchasing one may want to take a look at the rather in-depth article recently posted on the company’s website showing the installation of a system at the high-end auto shop Rick’s Performance in Pleasanton, California.
The article features a lot of pictures and shows plainly how simple the installation process is, and also how discrete the system is once installed. So, definitely worth a look for those considering buying one.
This picture in particular is worth highlighting as it shows clearly how thin the actual vehicle-installed portion of the system is:
As is this picture, as it shows how discrete the vehicle portion of the system is when installed:
The article notes: “The Bay Area Plugless team swung by Rick’s Performance in Pleasanton, CA, on Monday to deliver a brand new Plugless for the Model S autonomous charging system to Rick Soderberg. Rick owns a Model S and is the owner of the high-end auto shop where the unit was installed. … Rick uses the Tesla as a customer shuttle at the shop and loves the idea of his Plugless Tesla being part of customers’ experience.”
In addition to the pictures of the installation process posted in the article, the company also recently posted the video below, which shows a Tesla Model S “pull up and autonomously charge on the first try.” Enjoy!
