The Energy Department has announced funding for a new, $40 million utility scale test site in the waters of the continental US, off the coast of Oregon.
In order to boost the rate of electric vehicle use amongst customers, the two biggest utility companies in Oregon — Portland General Electric and Pacific Power — have jointly filed plans to install new electric vehicle charging stations, to educate the public on plug-in vehicles, and to support the purchase of electric buses throughout the state.
