With more than 60,000 residential customers in 15 states, Sunrun is one of the largest rooftop solar power companies in the US. Most of those customers are in the Northeast or Southwest, but now Sunrun has announced that it is open for business in South Carolina as well.

Sunrun is expanding its rooftop solar business into South CarolinaInitially, it will offer services to residents in the Greenville and Spartanburg areas. This summer, it will expand operations to Columbia, Charleston, and Hilton Head. The company headquarters and a warehouse will be located in Columbia, the state capitol. It will be hiring 50 full-time employees to help with its South Carolina operations, including at least 50 sales consultants, installers, and project managers.

Founders Ed and Lynn are on a mission to do something positive for the environment by making solar power available to millions of Americans in a way that eliminates the high cost and complexity often associated with rooftop solar systems. Sunrun partners with leading manufacturers and installers to offer unsurpassed service and high-quality installations to its customers.

Sunrun is proud to offer customer care that is second to none. From the moment a solar system is installed, they handle everything for you. From paperwork to monitoring to repairs, customers don’t have to do a thing. No worries means happy customers and happy customers mean positive attitudes and more business.

Sunrun offers a variety of leasing and purchase options. It will be happy to help you select the best method for you to get solar panels installed at your home. Its sales consultants are trained to help customers make the right decision, not pressure people into making a move they aren’t comfortable with.

Here is what one Sunrun family has to say about its experience:

Sunrun definitely made it easy for us to become a solar household. The process was so basic. A couple of phone calls, and everything was up and running. –Pete & Markey B, Santa Cruz, California, customers since 2012.

Sunrun will expand its service area to the rest of South Carolina once it gets established in the state. You can check with the company to find out when service in your area is expected to be available.
