Shopping For Solar? Negotiation Questions You Should Know

In April, I received an interesting report from IBISWorld.com regarding solar panel installation. It is aimed at buyers of solar panel installation services, but it is actually quite detailed, even including breakdowns of vendor costs (including wages, overhead, purchases, and profit) and a 3-year price forecast. You can purchase the price here (the price is $1495, but there’s apparently a 50% discount running right now). As just one highlight from the report, I really liked a section it had on “negotiation questions” you can ask a potential solar installer. (Solar installers in the house, perhaps you should also take note and look to improve your offerings.) Here they are:

So, if you’re shopping for solar, or planning to do so eventually, be sure to bookmark this page for when you are discussing installation options. And purchase the full report for a more thorough understanding of the market and solar installation vendors. (Note: CleanTechnica doesn’t get anything if you purchase the report. I mean, really, I received this 6 months ago!)
