Your link right above the ‘Other EVs’ caption is broken.

The Green Car Congress report makes it clear that BYD’s new battery chemistry will be rolled out for all its electric vehicles. For buses, they have the attractive options of either extending range for the same weight and cost, or reducing weight and cost for the same range. It’s pretty clear that what is holding up large-scale adoption is price rather than range, so logically they should take the second route.

Thanks for the addendum. Yeah, I think this is potentially huge news going under the radar because the company is BYD, not Tesla. The BYD electric bus is already competitive on a lifetime cost basis. Lowering the cost a bit makes it the obvious choice for a transit agency, imho.

Like Patrick below I am also curious about the deranged Tesla hater, but the link still isn’t working.
If it is still the story about the Chinese guy busting the windshield on his new car then no big deal. But if something different would like to check it out.
Did a quick check under Google with EV obsession and deranged Tesla hater and nothing came up that seemed relevant. Or has the story been removed for some reason?
Thanks for the help and have a great day.

Looks like the right one, thank you.
This looks like a follow-up of the notifications being placed on the windshields of Tesla owners a few months ago. What a bunch of blarney, even in trying to follow the links from the original post.
PS thought that ‘blarney’ might be more appropriate for a reply to a lady rather than the actual profanity that better describes this. :-)

          • Calamity_Jean

            Who’s a lady?! Not me!

“Blarney” means flattery, not at all the right word. How about “hooey”? Or “nonsense”? Or “old fish”? (Stinky!) Or “barnyard mud”? You just need to be a little creative.

          • Patrick Linsley

            Horsehockey!

          • Bob_Wallace

            Road apples. Meadow muffins.

          • Calamity_Jean

Ah, you must have watched M*A*S*H back in the day!

          • Patrick Linsley

            guilty as charged! :D
edit: and who didn’t like Colonel Potter (except may be Frank Burns)

          • Calamity_Jean

Frank Burns didn’t much like himself!

I just remembered something else to call the [whatever] spewed by the Tesla-hater: gobar! In Hindi, it means “cow dung”.

          • Patrick Linsley

            I like it!

          • Offgridman

It was late and I was half asleep so you can hopefully excuse the lack of creativity.
As for being a lady that was my assumption by the screen name, and I will most likely continue to treat you as one. To old and ingrained of a habit for it to stop without serious effort so you will put up with it, maybe?
I do like some of Patrick’s suggestions below and the lies being passed on deserve some stronger language.
If you got the first version of this had to edit for referring to the wrong article

          • Patrick Linsley

Just givin ya a hard time I agree with ya about the story.

          • Calamity_Jean

I’ve heard rude language before. It won’t give me the vapors. Heh.

          • Offgridman

“It won’t give me the vapors”
That really wasn’t the concern. Hey, for some it even has the opposite affect. Heh.
Just more of a personal standard in how I treat people.
            Have a good one. :-)

          • Calamity_Jean

And a very pleasant day or evening to you, too!

          • Offgridman

            Thank You!
Think you are right about our schedules being out of sync, so it was nice to find this with the morning coffee.
Hoping for the same for you,, heading for the porch to watch the birds fuss about the rain and squabble over the feeder while I sip my cuppa.

          • Patrick Linsley

Blarney? I’d say that isn’t strong enough! This is definitely a case of balderdash! Poppycock even! :D
