Looking for a quick crash course in the world of electric vehicles in a single infographic? Well look no further. Fix.com has put together a nifty infographic that explains the differences between hybrids, electric vehicles, and plug-in hybrids, and explains all the money-saving and environmental benefits of electric vehicles. Interestingly, the infographic references CleanTechnica and sister site Gas2.

For example, did you know that today’s short-range EVs can handle 95% of all daily driving trips? Or that by driving an electric car, you can save as much as $5,200 a year in gas alone? That’s a lotta extra money in your pocket. Check out the infographic even if you’re an EV expert; there’s always something new to learn.

No three stars for the infographic.
The pie chart for comparative running costs is wrong. They are shares of what total?
The cumulative sales histogram is incomprehensible. New sales of what? ICE cars?

Missed the color on the monthly verse cumulative by “that much” ;)
