Editor’s Note: I’m quite bullish on thin-film solar technology. I know it has barely survived the wicked cost drops in conventional solar PV, but it has some definite advantages and potential, and I think it will make a strong comeback, even if it never dominates the (huge) solar market. I have more on that to come, but in the meantime here’s a video about thin-film solar cells (with a LEGO man, Han) that Derek found somewhere:
