It’s not often that hip-hop and environmental issues such as fracking go hand in hand, but in this case, female rapper Kellee Maize breaks it down for us.

Hydraulic fracturing, also known as fracking, is fraught with environmental risks, from groundwater pollution to the release of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and while the proponents of fracking believe it’s an economically feasible way to extract more gas from the ground, opponents of the practice believe it’s not worth the environmental and health effects.
