You Can Control CleanTechnica!

I feel really lucky with the readers we have. You are amazing, and you make our jobs possible (well, you and the people who find us on Google and then clicks on some ads). Honestly, I’m sure we wouldn’t be anywhere close to where we are today if you didn’t provide so many thoughtful and useful comments, and if you didn’t do such a wonderful job of sharing our content!

However, on this special Valentine’s Day, I’d like to give you the gift of having even more control over CleanTechnica. If you’ve followed CleanTechnica for very long, you know that I will really look at the results closely and also read every comment. So, please, chime in!

    I’d like links to be more clear.

    For instance here:

    There’s “A new white paper report finds that wind energy is keeping electric bills low for American homes and businesses”.

    The “new white paper report” part is a link, but it’s really hard to see unless someone hovers the cursor over it.

      Hmm, that’s something that our theme sometimes does to links. Is very annoying. Mostly happens in bullet lists (which is why I bold & underline the text in those cases) and block quotes. However, can also happen if there is special formatting on the text for some reason. I didn’t notice that on this one, but just corrected it. Is annoying, I fully agree. Drives me crazy.

    I would be happy if there wasn’t so much cross scripting going on on CT.. and I don’t know if it’s just me, but right-clicking a selected/marked piece of text in an article for copying it for commenting on it get’s me no-where.

      Hmm, that’s a new one to me. I just tried it and it worked for me.

      I also got a comment about ads popping up when people hover over text. I don’t think we’ve had anything like that for years, so am a bit confused by that one as well.

      Completely unexpected answers… ??

        If you select a section of text, a “Share the Story” menu pops up.

        If you then copy and paste the text into Disqus it screws up the comment.

        You have to paste the text somewhere else and remove the “Read more at [url]” part for it to work.

          Ah, yes, I know what you are referring to. That is connected to the sharing buttons we use (which are my favorite I’ve seen as far as design). Hmm… will have to consider those…
