BYD Qin Plug-in Sees Strong Launch In China

You may have noticed a few days ago in my post on China’s 2013 plug-in car sales that the BYD Qin plug-in hybrid electric car was almost on the bottom of the sales rankings. However, that was a bit deceiving since the BYD Qin PHEV was actually just released. As noted in this Planetsave repost, 100 units of the BYD Qin PHEV were sold within seconds! And a lot more people were trying to purchase the vehicle at that time. In other words: I think it’s safe to say that the Qin PHEV is going to perform very well this year, and will likely rank at or near the top of plug-in car sales.
