DPW And Suniva Partner With PetersenDean On Solar 4 America Campaign
The roofing company PetersenDean and DPW are working with Suniva on an affordable solar campaign to provide solar systems in a more economical fashion. This is being announced at the Solar Power International Conference in Chicago, which is currently taking place.
One of the pluses of this campaign for Americans, titled Solar 4 America, is that it involves distributing solar panels which are manufactured in North America (supporting the country’s local economy through job creation).
Despite the fact that American-made solar panels are a little more expensive, at least the money spent on them goes back into the regional economy.

“We made a decision at PetersenDean to only source our products from North America. It’s costing us a little more money to buy these panels, but we are supporting the American economy, we are supporting the American worker and we’re reinvesting those dollars back in America,” said Jim Petersen, Founder of PetersenDean. “It’s that simple. I want to make sure that our products stand the test of time and that our customers are happy with it. And that’s why we choose to go American. It is time to take matters into our own hands. And that’s what Solar4America is all about. It is about lowering our electric bills. It is about creating our own energy policy. It is about American jobs, American panels, reinvesting in America.”
DPW Solar is a provider of racking systems, PetersenDean is a roofing company that also installs solar systems, and Suniva is a manufacturer of crystalline silicon solar panels, as well as solar cells.
PetersenDean was founded in 1984 by Jim Petersen, and it instigated the Solar 4 America initiative. DPW was founded in 1993, and Suniva was founded in 2008.
