They are taxing the Nuclear industry to do so. Just like South Korea. Basically all countries want unlimited plentiful almost free power they can build once and then forget about. Safe as sidewalks.

They outlawed fracking. Then US fracking companies appealed saying they have the right to ruin the French groundwater and vineyards. However the courts slapped them down telling them to return to America where they can buy the judges and politicians and frack anywhere they like there.

There are cheaper and competitive alternatives to fracking. Hence we can get rid of fracking now but we can’t get rid of farming.

And deforestation problem is mostly due to the greed of farmers.

If you think nature at all, then boycott agriculture and prefer synthetic meat and closed cycle greenhouse crops. you may occasionally buy also organic farming products, but not too often!
