I hope Ford looks into Hemp plastics (Hemp was what Henry Ford was going to use until it was prohibited - to please the fossil fuel and pharmaceutical industry - in 1937). I'm surprised hemp fiber was not mentioned in the article. Hemp has to low a THC content to be considered "smokable", even in the wildest imaginations of the anti-cannabis crusaders, so there is no danger of drug abuse..

As long ago as 1941, Henry Ford had car fenders and a trunk lid made that was lighter than steel and 10 times stronger. Hemp needs no fossil fuel intensive chemical fertilizers to grow and has far more potential than soybeans for plastics.

Henry Ford’s Hemp Plastic Car is 10X Stronger

SNIPPET:

According to Popular Mechanics, Henry Ford’s first Model-T was built to run on hemp gasoline and the CAR ITSELF WAS CONSTRUCTED FROM HEMP! On his large estate, Ford was photographed among his hemp fields. The car, ‘grown from the soil,’ had hemp plastic panels whose impact strength was 10 times stronger than steel.

Chemurgy: the Threat to Fossil fuels and fossil fuel derived plastics, paints, fertilizers, pesticides and pharmaceuticals that was Forced OUT.
