This could also be an artifact of the way the data was generated. A "enthusiasts" is someone who clicked to a Tesla story more than "n" times? Then all the other data comes from what else they have clicked. So a couple of items:
- Guess males read more Tesla than woman, thus the erotic dance (just saying)
- Maybe the reason sales is so high is that a lot of sales people from other car companies or dealerships are watching Tesla.

So it comes down to how you picked the group to search. And even then a large circle doesn't mean I like or support that topic. Maybe all those erotic dance clicks were to post comments about how bad dance is. Kind of like thinking the trolls on this site are pro-green.

It's not Tesla's marketing that's changing the perception of electric cars; it's the car itself. Aside from periodic press events, Tesla doesn't do any marketing. They don't need to sugarcoat the Model S. The car sells itself. Sure, it's bound to help the adoption of electric vehicles in general, but that's because it really does offer a superior driving experience.

I think this applies more generally: instead of green as self-sacrifice (which is not going to get us very far, as most of humanity is not made up of do-gooders), we must find ways to bring out the 'wow' factor in green.
