Germany’s virtual power plant looks like a winner. With sufficient “second” and “minute” power from a mass of micrigrids with smart electronics watching every part within a decade or so, the phasing out of fossil fuel plants may be accelerated. I wasn’t aware they had better wind conditions in France. But then again, if those newer turbines can get high performance from 7.5 m/s winds, you don’t really need high wind conditions to get up to nearly 97% non-intermittency.
    The future is looking good.
