Here’s an update from the Electricity Storage Association (received via email) regarding electricity storage legislation in US Congress:

PrintThe Electricity Storage Association proudly joins an impressive list of leading energy companies and trade associations in strong support of the STORAGE Act (H.R. 1465) (S. 1030). The bipartisan bill will create an investment tax credit (ITC) and clean renewable energy bonds (CREBS) eligibility for energy storage technologies of all types.

“The benefits afforded in the STORAGE Act will help level the playing field for storage technologies and will aid in realizing the benefits storage can bring to the reliability, security and efficiency of the nation’s electric grid. We hope members of Congress take this major step forward in modernizing our grid by supporting this legislation,” said Brad Roberts, Executive Director for the ESA.

The associations and companies endorsing the STORAGE Act represent hundreds of thousands of workers, small businesses and contractors from all over the United States. Please see the attached documents for the letters sent to both the Senate and the House of Representatives.
