If you don’t know what and RSS feed is or don’t know what Google Reader is, feel free to move along and skip this article. However, if you are one of our 15,000+ RSS subscribers and you use Google Reader (more likely than not), then you’ve probably seen by now that Google is shutting down Google Reader — July 1. If you haven’t seen that, take note! And in either case, if you’re looking for a new way to keep up with CleanTechnica, I’ve got a few suggestions.

When the announcement Google Reader was going to be shutting down initially came out over 3 months ago, I went ahead and made the switch early in order to find something I liked. I’ve been using Feedly since then — it’s better than Google Reader in some ways and worse in some ways, but is basically the best I’ve found. And, to be honest, I might actually like it more than Reader. The sweetest thing is that it offers a very simply, one-click migration from Google Reader.

cleantechnica newsletterAside from that option, you could of course check in via our homepage daily (everything goes there) or via our Twitter feed (within moments of publishing, links to our newest articles should show there). And, of course, there’s the awesome, stupendous, daily e-newsletter option. Just stick your email address in that box on the top right (see the screenshot I just stuck right next to this paragraph) and hit “Do It!” (… and then confirm that you really want to do it by hitting one or two confirmation links — we offer this option the safe way).

I guess it all depends on your internet surfing preferences. As a CleanTechnica reader myself (naturally), I check in several times a day via the home page, via Feedly, and via the e-newsletter — I love them all, but I think my favorite is simply coming to the home page.

By the way, feel free to let us know in the comments below if you have any other favorite ways of keeping up with your favorite cleantech news site. 😀
