AA, I wouldn't be too optimistic about this venture.

First of all, you should note that the latest Atlantic crossing record is due to the newly immersed twin propellers which, during the preceding world tour venture, were only half immersed (a handicap probably fostered by Big Oil -- who seems to be behind this project -- yet not given too much attention by the crew since they sailed along the sunniest beaches in the world under constantly selected fair weather conditions...).

Now, despite the newly immersed propellers with probably twice the yield versus the half-immersed ones, there's a new kind of sabotage threatening the ship, its crew and the scientists: what a weird idea indeed to send this solar catamaran cruising in high up North Atlantic waters with fixed horizontal PV panels bound to work under hopelessly small sunlight incidence angles -- is it going to capsize in the first storm due to flat batteries?

Big Oil would love...
