I would think that the 82 range comes from working with the EPA. My Volt averages about 48 miles summer but 35 miles during Jan/Feb. It’s rated at 35. Assuming the same experience as the Volt, the Spark EV would be well over 100 during the summer. Will be interesting to see what it really is.

20 Minute Fast Charging with 112 MPGe is great. So the charging speed is slowly increasing. EVs and Plugins are running a neck and neck race and EVs seems to be gaining upper hand.

Excellent specs. But knowing GM, they usually understate their EV range unlike Tesla, Nissan and Honda that advertises the maximum range under ideal driving conditions. Driving under ideal conditions is very impractical however. Now if only I can find a microfuel cell range extender….

Honestly, above 100MPGe it’s all pretty much negligible: switching to EV is such a huge improvement! It’s much more important to get a car that works well for you to give you a good experience and present a good experience to other potential buyers than it is to get those last few MPGe.

I think the Tesla Roadster had a better than 119MPGe, being that it’s all battery with a lightweight shell….
