80 Tesla Model S Service Loaner Cars Nearing Green Light
Can you imagine owning a Tesla Model S and then having to drive something else when it needed to go in for service?
Wait, first, can you imagine owning a Model S?
OK, jealousy/dreaming aside, I think we can all agree that many a Model S owner would probably appreciate getting another Model S to drive while theirs is in the shop (nothing else under $100,000 compares).
Natch, revolutionary EV knight Elon Musk and his team are on it. Musk has told USA Today that 80 top-of-the-line Model S electric sedans, each with 265 miles of range, are about ready to be set aside as loaner cars.
Furthermore, the owners can have the loaner cars delivered to their home or office.
If you’re a Lexus owner, this policy of never having to downgrade when you get a loaner car may sound familiar — that’s where Musk says he got the idea (yep, he doesn’t dream up all his ideas himself).
Yet another perk for being an owner of the world’s “Car of the Year.”
