Also, if we “Over estimate” our federal revenue as we’re so prone to do – again, no Representative gets paid.

Tie their pay to their performance just like every other job in the US and they’ll do a much better job! (Maybe not great, but really it couldn’t get much worse)

Looks like their plan is working.
A better path than sequestration would have been all rep/sentor/exec branch get 90% pay cut, their staff gets 50% paycut. This would include all retirement benifits for past reps/sentors. The would last 7 time the duration of the event, so each day they wasted would cost them a week.
The pentagon has a list of projects it has tried to cut and bases to close for years. Think F-35, but get stop because it would lose someone votes.
