If the suit alleges improper performance on the part of management then the settlement would come from profits and would not be an eligible expense for justifying a rate increase.

Ameren  seems to be a privately owned corporation.  Rates seem to be set by the Missouri Public Service Commission.  (That&#039;s from a quick check.  I didn&#039;t dig very deeply.)]]></description>
