No, I’m from Florida. But yes, you’re definitely right. Someone caught a glaring typo yesterday that was sitting on the site for about a day in a headline! Had gone through the writer, editor, and me. And the post had even been reposted on Think Progress. And not even a comment about it from a reader. I’m actually astounded when stuff like that happens.

Nope. Zach’s native language is Floridian. That’s an even harder transition to English than is Dutch.

And I just understand – type 3,000+ words a day regularly and see how many typos get through even a fairly thorough proof-reading. It’s even more impressive considering, I’d bet, your native language is Dutch?
