Does that mean he’s serious about it?

Come on Zach, have you studied the man that little? PBO means what he says. And he almost always finishes what he starts.

By the time his second four years is over we may see that he finishes the other stuff as well. He's still working on closing Gitmo.

Now, let's each do what we can to help him. It's too big a job for one man alone. We might still have time to avoid the worst of climate change but we're going to have to get hustling.

Need a new car? Volts just dropped a whole bunch.

Got panels on your roof? Prices are falling rapidly.

Are there LEDs or CFLs in your most used lamps? Now's the time. Put away the old incandescent and use it in a closet or some place that you don't light up often. No need to wait for anything to burn out.

Called or written your Congress member? You can call local offices for free and emailing costs nothing but a few minutes of your time. Let even the reddest of red know that you support clean energy. Bust their bubble.

When you see some dishonest crap in the newspaper or on the web about clean energy, post the correct information. Just helping to educate a few would help a lot if many of us spent a little energy on spreading the facts.

Make sure you've got good choices for Congress in 2014 and be absolutely ready to vote in better people, Democrats or Republicans.

I was very happy with the President's remarks on climate change and sustainable energy. That is the kind of strong message that we need. While I'm not optimistic it will result in a climate bill to pass through Congress (considering the House of Representatives is still Republican controller), I am hoping that it will motivate the country to take the issue seriously and start looking for a real solution starting now.

Also, great article Zach!
