The place where I see the lowest panel prices is Sun Electronics - http://www.sunelec.com/

I haven't done business with them but I see them mentioned often on the web. I checked their reputation on Ebay a year or two back and they had high ratings. You should do your own due diligence.

Right now they have panels for as low as $0.79/watt. And complete grid-tie systems (except for mounting racks) for $1.82/watt.

And here's a site that collects prices from a number of companies. They list several selling for less than $1/watt.

http://www.ecobusinesslinks.com/surveys/free-solar-panel-price-survey/

Finally, here's the company, Backwoods Solar, that I've used for most of my gear. They've been really good with me, nice people who are quick to answer questions.

Personally, I would submit your info into the solar forms we have on this site if you are considering going solar. Yes, we have a financial partnership with the company who finds you a good solar installer, but we think they're the best around, so that's why we've partnered up.

Regarding *only* buying the panels, I think Bob can give you some good sources -- he's off grid and very familiar with the panel market.
