hi joshua, my names mark patterson, a long time resident of kingisland, now temporarily residing in thailand. i have witnessed over a number of years the population and industrial decline of king island, this aggrieves me to speak in the mildest and politest way possible. when given this remarkable oppurtunity to house the biggest windfarm in the southern hemisphere, nothing but nothing apart from incredible posatives flickered through my think tank. and when i heard there may be opposition i became even more aggrieved, but after i cooled down i realised its well reasonable for people to be objective and want to know all the details of the project, its strange that people could be offended about your step child analogy, funny how touchy some people are, even when confronted with obvious light heartedness and good intent. well for me the incredible things that this windfarm will do for our island excites me no end, and the fact it is the way the world needs to go, it ticks all boxes for me, good on you joshua

It will be onshore. We don’t do offshore wind in Australia. Not yet anyway.

The projected cost is high for Australian wind, but it’s a good location for wind power and I imagine that a lot of it is transmission costs, which will be quite hefty for an undersea cable to Melbourne.
