"The LivingHome C6/CK series are the lowest cost LivingHomes. They combine clean, modern design with our Z6, LEED® Platinum level environmental program and Cradle-to-Cradle CM inspired materials. The C6/CKs feature open floor plans, upgraded finishes and fixtures, and lots of storage, light and warmth.

The C6 series was designed by LivingHomes staff in collaboration with Make It Right, a nonprofit founded by Brad Pitt and architect William McDonough to build 150 affordable, sustainable homes in New Orleans' Lower Ninth Ward, the neighborhood hardest hit by Hurricane Katrina. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each C6 will help support the efforts of Make It Right. There are three versions of the C6 that range from 2 bedrooms/1 bath at 950 square feet to 3 bedrooms/2 baths at 1232 square feet.

The new CK series shares the same interior and exterior materials and environmental program of the C6s. The CK Series was inspired by the design of Ray Kappe and they include our first lower cost two story LivingHomes.

Comfy. Conscious. Complete: $139-323,000, including a lifetime of happiness."

Affordable for who? The 3 bdr 2 bath at $145 per sq ft comes in just over 178K. At 4% int. that is 850 a month for 30 years, add the lot, taxes, and insurance and it is hardly affordable for the average wage earner.
