And the claims have been going on for 30+ years yet mono and poly Crystalline silicon cells are still dominate.  
Switching R&amp;D money to finding a means of long term storage of massive amounts of electrical power will do more to make solar a commerical success.  Crack this nut and solar will replace all other electrical power generation methods.]]></description>
