I am having 10 240 Watt solar panels installed on my roof under a $-0- per month solar lease from Solar City, which includes the inverter and an electrical Panel Upgrade from 100AMP to 200 AMP. They checked my roof and a DWP worker spotted my meter and drew maps of the spot. Work should begin soon and it will be to code and inspected by the City of LA Bldg and Safety. Those ten panels won't store excess electricity it will be sent to the Grid, no batteries are being used to store excess electricity but to spin my meter backwards. With the 4 watt 320 lumen LED light throughout my house and my new LED TV, those panels should supply my electrical needs easily.

"The maximum rated capacity for a rooftop solar PV system to be eligible for the program is 5 MW,"

LOL, a 5 MW system would need a roof of about 10 hectares. I know the Boeing Everett plant would qualify, but the problem is that it's located in Seattle. Are there aeroplane factories in LA?
