I regularly read pv-tech.org, and they post the main numbers from IMS research, Solarbuzz or Photon consulting (these reports are usually behind paywall). I then keep my own spreadsheet with these figures to have them always on hand when the need arises.

haha. that’s the thing about solar growth — makes it hard on us bloggers and journalists to get the numbers up to date.

I like the sound of that! Just a mere 5 years ago, 10 MW would have been called a behemoth.

I don’t like the sound of that. Global installed capacity by the end of 2011 was 67 GW and right now, as-we-speak, more than 90 GW. More than twice the stated amount. Don’t trust PV data if it is more than a week old
