There is no doubt that Mitsubishi makes some fine products. However, $2,651.for a window AC unit borders on insanity. Oh wait, the picture contained with this article showing a wall of window air conditioning units is NOT what ZW units are.

Mitsubishi is selling the ZW series which is commonly referred to as split AC units which means the compressor and condensing fans are located outside of the building. A small 3-4" dia hole goes through the wall and the evaporator and blower fan unit are mounted inside the home. This type of unit can be manufactured to be very quiet and efficient with SEER ratings of over 20. Not only that, these units typically only cool the rooms the units are installed in. In other words the 15-25% cooling losses which can occurs in duct work is eliminated making the units even more efficient.

Anyway I just thought everyone should know what we are talking about - in this case, a picture is NOT worth a thousand words, LOL. Now if it was me and I wanted to sell a bunch of these units in the good old USofA I would reduce the price by about $1,000. More and more people in America are finding themselves making less and less money.
