Even if this visionary plan isn’t implemented fully, e.g. because cheaper storage options become available, they seem to be doing useful work with their co-op plan to build local support for RES projects.

It’s time to train people to use a more appropriate word. Using inappropriate words confuses issues.

I’d rather see CleanTechnica adopting the expression ‘variable’ instead of ‘intermittent’ when it comes to wind energy.

Wind is not binary on/off, as the word suggests. Wind power is always ‘on’, but with a variable output.

My suspicion is that the widespread use of the word ‘intermittent’ has caused many people to think that 25% capacity factor means wind turbines only work a quarter of the time.
