My challenge is to use less water. Finding a low flow shower head helps as well as not letting the water run while doing everyday tasks such as brushing my teeth or doing the dishes. Also, I pledge to walk if I need to purchase items from a store that is right up the road.

My challenge is to use less energy. Find alternate ways to stay cool. Turn off some power devices not being used by putting in surge protectors and turning them off when not needed.

I just pledged to save water by using less water when showering (quicker showers) and brushing my teeth (by not letting water run unnecessarily. In addition, I pledged to take the stairs from and to my apartment instead of the elevator. And finally, I pledged to “walk a mile” and by that, instead of taking a bus or subway, I’ll walk to shops or whenever I need to be if it’s reasonably close (I’m not going to walk from Brooklyn to Manhattan obviously )
