Czechs may soon be able to charge their EVs with wind power.

Aerodynamic Wind Machines (AWM), a company located in the Czech Republic, recently announced that it has finished testing its second prototype of a wind machine that can recharge electric cars or batteries for boats, lawnmowers and other electrical home appliances overnight.

The company claims that the technology makes it economically feasible to produce, sell and install wind turbines as “domestic appliances”. The small size of the machine and the power output/purchase cost ratio make it an affordable option for millions of households all over the world.

The wind machine could make many households independent from the electric grid, reducing the amount of money users must spend on their electricity needs, and possibly providing income from the sale of any excess power back to the grid.

AWM believes that the first beneficiaries from this new technology will be electric vehicles and electric vehicle charging stations.
