I saw your post on the Ev&#039;s and for short travel they are great, but I still like diesel for long distance driving. VW has a diesel-electric hybrid in the pipeline to be dubbed the &quot;cross coupe&#039; that is rated, as I recall, around 150 MPG (but I think that that may be an imperial gal so take 20% off of that number if that&#039;s the case) With fuel from algae and mileage numbers like that we could be on our way to a brighter day.
