Reputations take time to build and destroy. How long will it take for GM to polish away the tarnish of the EV1? Or for Microsoft to take away the sting of its relationship with Heartland or Ebay & Amazon with their support for ALEC?

Hype of supposed breakthroughs disempowers investment in readily available solutions. The renewable energy sector needs a set of benchmarking statistics that will level the current and future playing fields.
If you can benchmark the experience curve - and I think it can be benchmarked - bring it on and lets get a COMMON LANGUAGE THAT EVEN A CONGRESSMAN CAN UNDERSTAND.
