The following statement “Blessed with large-scale hydropower resources, Chile’s government hasn’t been proactive when it comes enacting strong renewable energy incentives and policies.” — seems to ignore the fact that hydro is itself a renewable energy source. And an enormous portion of Chile’s energy production is from renewable (hydro) sources, which are in fact supported to a large degree by the Chilean government and its policies. The writer of this article needs to look into the facts of Chilean hydropower.

The picture with this article showed 5 wind turbines. As of the date of the article about the Methanex wind turbine installations, only three were in place. This seems a bit misleading, and deliberately so since images of the Cabo Negro wind farm are readily available.
