The 3rd Industrial Revolution is a fascinating book. Europe is further along than I would have imagined. This is a great program to stimulate the creative , driven people toward what we all want for planet earth, cleaner energy. Imagine if amazing energy innovations could enable wide spread water desalination, and a healthy balance of life on the planet

Are you aware that Chevron is the world's largest owner/supplier of geothermal power?

Once renewables become adequately profitable look for 'dirty-energy' to be in the game.

The Entire World's Energy Needs Can Easily Be Provided By A Combination Of Wind, Solar, Geothermal, Tidal/River Water Flows And Hydrogen & Oxygen Extracted From Water Using Electricity FromThose Energy Sources. Such A system Would NOT Necessarily Depend On Electric Motors To Run Motor Vehicles. Hydrogen & Oxygen Power The Space Shuttle, And Conventional Internal Combustion Engines And Conventional Power-Plant Boilers Can Also Be Easily Be Modified To Run On Them.
The Main Naysayer Argument Against Solar And Wind Power Is That The Sun Doesn't Always Shine And The Wind Doesn't Always Blow. That Is A Red Herring! If There Are Enough Solar & Wind Plants To Produce Excess Power When The Sun DOES Shine, And The Wind Does Blow, And That Excess Power Is Stored In A Number Of Ways, Including As Compressed Hydrogen And Oxygen, Compressed Air, Batteries, Etc., AND Geothermal Power Plants Are Built Everywhere By Drilling Deep, Geothermal Wells To Power Electrical Turbines (Hot Rock Exists On Most Of The Earth's Crust At Depths Routinely Drilled To For Oil & Gas). Geothermal Heat IS 24/7/365.
A System Such As I Outline Here Would Be Expensive To Convert To, And Private Enterprise, Especially the Existing Dirty-Energy Companies, Who Are Making Immense Profits By Gouging Captive Consumers For Fuels Which Poison Our Air, Water And Soil, And Which Are Expensive To Drill. Mine, Refine And Transport, Unless You Own The Drilling, Miming Refining And Transportation Companies. Then, All Those Steps Are PROFITABLE!
Once We Have Installed The Infrastructure To Exploit The Energy Sources I Delineate Above, The Energy Sources THEMSELVES Are FREE! Exxon, Chevron, Xcel Energy, Etc. DON'T LIKE FREE! They Make $TRILLIONS$ From "Not-Free"! Those "Multi-National" Mega-Corporations Acknowledge No Allegiance To ANY Nation Or People. It Is In Their Interests To Prevent The Proliferation Of Clean, Free Energy Production. It Would Cost No More Than Is Currently Being Spent On Coal, Oil, Gas & Nuclear Energy Development To Install The Infrastructure To Do This.
If You Think It Would Be "Too Expensive" For Governments To Subsidize Companies To Install The Infrastructure To Exploit The Clean, Abundant, Inexhaustible & FREE Energy Sources, What Are Non-Toxic Air, Water And Soil WORTH?
Money Is Worth NOTHING Without Them!
