It is amazing the applications that people can come up with for electric vehicles! Moto Electric Vehicles sells fully electric vehicles and can customize them for many different uses. We have fire departments that use them as stretcher transporters, and factories that use them for security patrols, among other things. It appears that the sky is the limit and if people will keep an open mind, many functions currently being carried out by pollution-spewing fossil-fueled vehicles could actually be done with less environmental impact. It will take education, and a belief that even the smallest attempts we make at being sustainable will make a difference!

I use the Trojan T-105 batteries mentioned in this report in my Off Grid Solar RV and am very pleased with their cost viz performance. The 3 year life cycle mentioned is actually far less than I will obtain and appears to be based on the batteries being depleted 80% on a daily charge/discharge regime.
I planned on 50% depletion and 5 year life, but practice shows be I am getting closer to a 25-30% depletion and 7 to 8 year life.

At a cost of $100 per stored Kwhr they are a good deal.
